To Stephanie, Gracie May, Sadie Mae, Lightning and Ginger ATB:  Your lovely package arrived and we're sure enjoying everything.  The basset checkbook cover is perfect - our old basset checkbook cover is worn out!  The basset ballpoint pen is beautiful - now everywhere I go people will ask about the pen.  I began using the keyring immediately - perfect for the keys to the kingdom.  And most of all, we appreciate your thoughtfulness and empathy.  We didn't participate in the Secret Pawtner program this summer as Raymond has this large rectal tumor, and he was diagnosed by several vets that he wouldn't live to see the summer.  And here he is, playing, running, eating/sleeping, drinking,  and regularly barking for food, attention, etc.  So, his trip to the bridge is being postponed until he himself gives up.  Thanks again to youall for the gifts and the picture of the darling bassets.  Your kindness has warmed our hearts.  Our friends on the
