[Secretpawtner] How many are participating

Ann, I don't have my lists in front of me but my best guesstimate is that we have a total of about 85 doing the clues, no clues and mini secret pawtner. This is the smallest group we've had since I've been organizing the exchange, I think mostly due to the economy.  Sometimes people drop out because the person who had their name didn't put any effort into their package or they got their package late - this does take the fun out of participating. And we sometimes have someone who just doesn't even send a package. Of course those people are given notice that they are not allowed to play ever again.  I think we've weeded out a lot of people that really weren't good for the exchange - besides the people who were more interested in what THEY got than what they gave their pawtner, we had a few folks who were amazingly childish or downright rude when there was no call for it. Thankfully, those folks are gone now, too.

I think the people participating this year are the Droolers who truly enjoy secret pawtner and get great satisfaction in sending a thoughtful package to their pawtner.  We do have several new pawtners this year which I think is great and we seem to be off to a good start. Please email me at dlindy at mac.com with any questions or concerns.
