[Secretpawtner] Secret Pawtner Starter Clues

We got our Secret Pawtner's name and we can see some politics and history being used for clues here.  We are going to start our clues with the basics.
 
1) Our Secret Pawtner is a VERY TOUGH Competitor.
 
2) Our Secret Pawtner is from a RED State.
 
3) Something about our Secret Pawtner reminds us of a famous duel where the competitor named was killed by the then Vice President.
