[Secretpawtner] gift from Kacy

I've found out that my additional gift which arrived the other day was sent from Kacy Green - just because she's sweet considerate and thoughtful.  It's a note paper pad w/the silhouette of a bassethound on it.  It's so darling, I'll get a kick out of using it to send notes - and I'll think of my Daily Drool friend Kacy when I use it.  This has been a great SP year for me, and I keep thinking how lucky we are to have Donna in charge each year.  Thanks again, Donna, for a wonderful exchange of fun, games, clues, gifts with our friends on the Drool, and most of all, it benefits our best friends, those precious bassets.

Last year when I was unable to participate in the SP project because Raymond was so sick, I received a pkg from Stephanie Cornell with some wonderful basset gifts (she was my surprise secret Secret Pawtner) and her darlings:  Gracie May, Sadie Mae and Lightning.  Outstanding among the gifts was  a  beautiful basset 2013 calendar which has brought us so much joy and smiles during the past year.  Because each month's pictures of the 3 hounds have been so wonderful, I really hate to see this year end.
Stephanie, if you're creating a basset calendar for 2014 and have an extra one you'd like to sell to raise money for your favorite basset rescue group, just let me know.  
Donna, I'm so sorry to learn of Dawn's condition - a very sad time.
When I see the names of all my great Secret Pawtners of the past years on all the editions of the DD, it just warms my heart.  The other day I received a card from Laura Salmon, and today from Doug Dropp and Donna Lindy.  Thank youall for keeping me I your thoughts at this time, I really appreciate it.  My surgery will be Mon, Sept 9, and I'll let my DD friends know the outcome afterward.  Hope everyone's enjoying the Labor Day weekend!             Beryl & Zoey
