One of our secret pawtners, Karen Muchmore, and her husband live in
the flooded area in Colorado. They were stranded in their home in spite
of a mandatory evacuation because of washed out roads - they have now
been forced to evacuate with almost nothing. Below is her post from
Facebook this morning. Please keep Karen and Ed in your thoughts
and prayers. If I hear of something that can be done to help them or
if anyone has a suggestion, please post it.

Thanks,

Donna

To Our Friends,

Ed and I were forced from our home yesterday. We were given about an hour to pack up what we could carry on our backs and were evacuated out on the back of ATV's. This included both dogs and both cats. We had to leave behind everything else including three tanks of my beloved fish that will die shortly due to lack of oxygen. We have no cars and minimal clothes. We do not expect to be allowed to return to our home for several months (if we are lucky). We are thankful that despite the tremendous amount of flooding, our home and those of most of our neighbors were spared. We are alive and we will recover from this. We look forward to the day we can return to our beloved canyon and home. We do not know the logistics of things at this point, due to the location of Ed's work in Ft. Collins and mine in Estes Park. Estes Park is also recovering and I expect it will be several months before a convenient road to Estes is available. With four animals, accommodations will be challenging. Thank you to everyone for their prayers and good wishes, we will continue to need them as we determine how to move forward.
