Yes, Susan Davenport, you are our secret pawtner. Val, Mila, and Harley
clues: 1. when you post to the Drool, it is often to call attention to fundraisers, which you generously support. Self-explanatory
2. A condition of one of your hounds was initially misdiagnosed by your vet.
Sally has been diagnosed with Cushing's, but your vet initially laughed at your suggestion that this might be why she was drinking so much water. At that time he thought it was diabetes insipidus. But you persevered in having Sally tested for Cushing's, and you were correct.
3, Unscramble this anagram: "Any land antlers?" "Sally and Tanner?"
4. You have something in your house that I made. You wrote on the Drool that you had received the hotpads with bassets on them from WMBRI that I made. (that fundraiser also gave out cookie cutters and recipes).
5. At the moment, you are not footloose and fancy free. You have very recently had foot surgery and are suppose to be taking it easy.
6. I GOOFED ON THIS ONE! Sorry. We both have two hounds but not that long ago had three. I remembered clue from last year's Secret Pawtner that I thought applied to you--it said your three hounds names started with consecutive letters in the alphabet, R,S,T. Well, the S, T, would be Sally and Tanner, and the other hound was named Rudy. but it turns out that that clue was for a different Susan. So here is where I led you astray. My bad.
7. People born before World War 2 called this item of furniture by your last name, referring to its manufacturer. that would be a "davenport", now known as a sofa or couch. My grandmother always referred to the sofas in our home as davenports and everyone in my family called them that as well. I have not heard anyone refer to a davenport in years.
8. I am not all that organized and can't find clue 8 at the moment...
9. You were among the first Droolers to start posting clues on Secret Pawtner this year. In fact, I think you were the first.
10. You live near a moderately sized city is named after a figure who used to have a holiday named after him, but now it is called "Founder's Day". that would be Columbus. Hilliard, where you live, is said by Wikipedia to be a suburb of Columbus, Ohio.
congratulations, Susan. sorry we misled you with a bum clue! Val, Bo, and Harley
