Glad to hear the package arrived and that I don't need to explain the quilt
kit. Yes, is a row kit from Durango which is famous for the narrow gauge
railroad that goes through the San Juan mountains. Gorgeous ride.

Subject: Hit the jackpot!

Wow, another package arrived today from our secret Pawtner, Ann Hefner, and
it was jam-packed with goodies. three different kinds of dog treats,
including Icelandic fish chews! And a toy for each dog. MAriah grabbed the
plush football, Mila delicately chose the chicken skinneze, and Ipo said,
"What is a toy?" So Mariah helped herself to Ipo's slipper as well. then
Mariah demolished the cardboard box everything came in with gusto, the box
smelling delicious and every bit as much fun as the toys. she is in seventh
heaven. (Shades of little kids at Christmas). THank you so much! And I
recognize the "row by row" kit, which must be from a Colorado quilt shop. At
a certain time of year, quilt shops all over the country prepare their own
special signature "row", a scene which will make one row in a striped quilt.
quilters go from shop to shop collecting different rows and then combine I
forget how many rows into one quilt, choosing their own borders and
companion fabrics. then the shops have competitions for best row by row
quilt. THe resulting quilts are always adorable. The Hawaii rows tend to be
thatched huts and beaches. Now I have a Colorado scene, so I am inspired to
do the next row by row. thank you Ann for all the wonderful gifts and a fun
time with Secret Pawtner.

Val, Mila, Mariah, and Ipo
