Shannon and Fletcher Are we your secret pawtners.?  All the clues fit.  You are very much West of me.  I have two hounds...you have one. I am your friend on FB. My town does have lots of history. (hope they don't burn it down) haha  AS far as the deer...we have them in our yard everyday and I had to laugh at the last clue...yes we do have lawsuits here in our county.
