<p>And what's funny is I was reading your clues and once in a while wondered if it was me! What is measured by your hand though? By the way, I think what may have tossed me off the trail was the clue about each of us having 1 dog. We actually have 4,  but the

 other 3 are not Bassets, and therefore I left them out of the fun. But you sent enough treats for everyone!</p>
