You know what? Not everyone in the world is a Dog Person.
Some people have birds, some have fish, some have dogs, and some have cats.
And some have all of them.

But if you are unhappy, then Chloe is not for you, and it is not your fault,
nor hers. Clearly you are extremely stressed by her needs. These don't
change much, which is something you really need to think about. It's not a
few days of housebreaking and then a wonderful, trained dog. No indeed. You
will need to rush home after work to let her out and feed her as long as she
lives. You will need to be sure she has her shots, and give her heartgard,
and watch for fleas, and play with her and exercise her---not once in
awhile, but every day (except for the heartgard and shots, of course.) And
aside from the time and committment, there is money involved.

Chloe is a baby right now, and needs more time and energy than you have to
give, in order to grow up to be a wonderful companion. If you are this
distressed after four days, then be glad you have breeder who will take her
back, and do it! It's not your fault, and it isn't Chloe's fault. It is
simply one of those crappy things that happen when we try something we
haven't tried before, that sounds like a good idea at the time.....and
isn't.

There is no shame here, and no blame. If you keep her for weeks, and THEN
return her, then I would say you have done her a disservice. Right now she
is easy to place and there will be a good home for her where the people are
not stressed and dismayed by her puppiness.

As difficult as it is, I personally would recommend returning Chloe to the
breeder with a kiss and a hug and know that you have done the very best you
could for her. You have a good breeder who understands that things do not
always work out, and she would much rather have Chloe back than have both of
you miserable------and you will be, I promise. You think this is bad, wait
till she's a little bigger and the demands are still in effect. Do it now.Do
it without guilt. You tried.Chloe tried. Nobody is to blame here.
