Ok.  So it's not quite the same as winning a 5 point major at Canfield, but
we had a little win this w/e.  Mr. Pimpernoodle ( Bertha's 11 month old baby
boy) was winners dog, best of winners and Best of Breed yesterday in
Minnesota.  He then competed in the puppy hound group and won the puppy
group!  Unfortunately, the Best in Show judge was clearly blind and gave
Best in Show to a Weimaraner puppy <G>.  And a belated brag in the
schnoodlenoodle's mom - 2 weeks ago we went to the Hound Show in Chicago.
They had a veteran's Sweepstakes and Veterans Sweepstakes groups, and Bertha
won the Veteran group!  There were a lot of veterans in competition, and she
even beat a foxhound who had been Best in Show at their national
specialty....TWICE!

The competitors are now back home and awaiting their suppers and a long
post-show nap.
