This is in California but it is heads up that our dogs are not quite safe yet...FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – FRANKLIN, Tenn. – August 08, 2008 – MarsPetcare US today announced a voluntary recall of limited bags ofPEDIGREE® Complete Nutrition Small Crunchy Bites sold in Albertsonsstores in Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada. The pet food isbeing voluntarily recalled because of potential contamination withSalmonella. There have been no complaints or reports of injuryresulting from consumption or handling of the recalled product.The product should not be sold or fed to pets. Pet owners should disposeof product in a safe manner (example, a securely covered trashreceptacle) and return the empty bag to the store where purchased for afull refund.
