When I first adopted Max ( 2 yrs ago) I also had a st. berard(who has since
went to the bridge) His name was Bear and he would sleep in bed with me and
Max had a nicely hand sewn cushy bed on the floor beside the bed a he is a
very short furkid and couldn't get on the bed by himself. Then a month later I
adopted boggle and after a couple days he was happy sleeping in his crate (
not potty trained yet)so along with bear there were usually 2 or 3 out of the
4 ats in bed. But after Bear went to the bridge Boggle was not house broke and
I kind of missed the warmth beside me so I let Boggle out of his crate, He
wasn't sure about the bed but it didn't take long that he made himself right
at home at the foot of the bed. So now I felt bad that max was made to sleep
on the floor that I started lifting him into bed. Its been a year now and we
have both bassets one at the foot one by the pllows, a cat on the pillows, and
1-3 at the foot of the bed. And we now have a new kitten about 4 mths old who
thinks she has to sleep on top of everyone.
