[Dailydrool] What a big beagle!

You have my sympathy.  I must have been leading a very sheltered life, but
had never run into much of that until last Friday.  I decided that Wilbur
needed some special one-on-one time and took him to the 'Dog Days of Summer'
dog parade put on by the Minneapolis Park Board.  Willie was the only basset
there and was identified as a 'big beagle', wiener dog and dachshund.  I,
too, found myself giving 'The Look'.  To make up for it, he was fussed over
and petted by lots of people who told him how handsome he is.  He was very
good-for him.  Toward the end of the pawrade at one of the water stops, we
did talk to a young woman with a pretty red and white basset named Harvey.
I didn't get the chance to tell her about the Drool or the basset club,
though.  I should have some cards for the club that also mention the Drool!
