PRESS RELEASE
Miss Angela Basset is recovering nicely today from oral surgery.  Her distinctive and hallmark overbite which was a part of her charm (think the gap between Lauren Hutton's front teeth) caused problems that had gone unnoticed.  Her lower right canine, instead of sitting outside the upper teeth, was striking the inner side of her upper right canine.  This had apparently been going on a long time.  At a routine check-up early in the week, Dr. Kathy (not to be confused with Dr. Renee, the banjo picking vet)  noticed that the area around the upper canine was very red.  An x ray showed not only the area of inflamation but significant bone loss around the tooth that had been battered around.  Yesterday, that tooth was removed in a less-than-an-hour surgery.  She came home last night with pain and infection meds.  Miss Angela slept most of the evening and all night.  Today she seems pretty normal.  She thanks those who sent drool and other messages.  Total recovery should be possible within days.
