[Dailydrool] black

I just love snuggling with one or two or maybe even three when it's windy outside.  The temperature here is around 45  but it is so windy it makes people and houndies act crazy.  They are wild, romping around all over every time they hear anything suspicious.  They have been outside chasing leaves(no, they are not all raked up) and squirrels.  Now they are all sleeping in a lap or on a leg.  Nic has Marley, the DH has Ninja who is now a daddies girl, and Maggie who is snoring on my ankle as I type.  
 
Our church is doing the Christmas musical this weekend and we all have to wear black.  I don't wear much solid black.  Because by the time I get out the door the bottom of my pants and even the top of me is usually covered in hair.  White hair.  They only seem to shed the white.  I got all the hair off of myself last night before leaving for the church.  When I got there and took off my coat, there was hair in a lot of places it shouldn't have been.  It looked like a houndette had been wearing and shedding in my coat.  I picked off as much as I could and left the rest.  It was too dark in the choir loft most of the time for anyone to see the hair.  I would really be in trouble if I had to wear black all the time.  I'd need to find an all black basset.  
 
Little Miss Ninja is my clingy basset.  She has to be where we are all the time.  she usually sits or stays with me but she has to be with someone.  I think she must have felt abandoned before.  She stays right with me even if I just walk a few steps.  She is very possessive of me especially.  It's ok with me.  I know I am loved and it is a really nice feeling.  All three girls greet us when we come home like we've been gone for days, instead of a few hours.  Marley tells us all about it.  Maggie just shakes and moans.  I wouldn't trade all their love for a neat hairless house ever.  Besides, even without the dogs, I have boys, husband included, who think my life's purpose is to pick up what they drop or spill.  Gotta love em.
