My Franny loves her some butter. It was the day after the Droopy Reunion and I had butter on the counter softening for dinner. Huge mistake. Now keep in mind that Franny is not a graceful dog - her front paw turns out pretty badly and she prefers to go through her day in bulldozer mode. I heard the clank of the plate that the butter was on and it was already too late. In the 5 seconds it took me to get into the kitchen, she had swallowed the entire stick and returned to sitting with enough time to give me the "What? It wasn't me. It must have been the kitties." face. Instead of reprimanding her for counter-cruising, I yelled at myself for leaving anything near the edge. How's that for a trained slave:)
