[Dailydrool] How do you clear basset ears?

Our Charley Bucket seems to be prone to ear infections so I wondered how do 
you clean basset ears on the inside?  And does iit hurt to use soap on the 
outside of ears?  He is really messy with his bones he chews.  Is there any
