Ok, I was going to send a post asking the moderators to return to moderation, 
but I'm just going to refer everybody to Yolanda's post.  It said everything 
I wanted to say, and so much better.  Post 6, Volume 35, Issue 9.  

The only thing I would add is that, yes, there are times when a discussion 
needs to be shut down, especially when it devolves into uncivility and 
potential hurt feelings.  That usually doesn't happen until the proverbial 
dead horse has been beaten into the ground.  At that point, there's just 
nothing more that needs to be said.  The mods will always have my support 
when they make a decision to shut down a particular discussion.
