Utah Friends of Basset Hounds has some great 
cookbooks for gifts for birthdays, Valentine’s Day,
Mother’s Day--you name it. The Guide to Brunch
is a collection of breakfast and brunch recipes submitted
by basset owners. The recipe is on one side of the page, and 
the basset with their story is on the other side. The books are only $14.95, and we still have some Countercruiser’s Guide to Desserts available, also. The link is http://www.utahbassethoundrescue.com/Shop.php.

Our fundraising cookbook for 2009 will be Countercruiser’s
Guide to BBQ and Outdoor Grilling. For a donation of $5.00 you
can submit a recipe and a photo of your basset with your comments.
Not that western grilling isn’t good, but I have had BBQ in Florida,
Texas, and some other southern states that was out of this world.
We would love it if some of you Southerners (or Northerners) would share recipes. Start looking for recipes and get that perfect photo of your hound, and we will let you know when we have the link on the website to submit them. 
Thanks so much for your support. As with all rescues, this has
been a challenging year for UFBH. We wish all the hounds and
slaves a very Happy New Year and hope that in 2009 many, many
bassets find their forever homes.
