[Dailydrool] Watermelon question

Does anyone know if feeding watermelon to your hound is bad?
 
I was eating some watermelon yesterday and Speedy was looking at me with pleading eyes.  Thinking he wasn't going to like it, I gave him a piece.  He absolutely loved it. Don't know if it was because it was cold or the sweetness.  Then I got worried. So is it ok?
