[Dailydrool] Dailydrool Digest, Vol 15, Issue 29

Thanks to everyone who emailed me advice about Lucy and her going to
the bathroom when we came home. We first let her out into the back
yard and ignored her until she calmed down. We don't talk in a high
pitched voice unless we want to create chaos. She has stopped peeing
when we come in! I'm sure there will be some accidents but she is
much calmer when we act like it is no bid deal when we come home.

She jumps up on us a lot. We read that pushing the dog down is not
the best method, that they are getting attention and that's what they
are after. We are trying just to turn away when she jumps up. Does
anyone have any advice.

Lucy did her first food steal! She snatched a muffin top off a
guest's plate. I thought it was pretty funny, although we did let her
no it was not ok. I'm amazed at what she can get into for being so
low to the ground. (so lesson learned put everything up!)

Bassets are stubborn, like mules!! I'm rewarding her with dog
biscuits, praise does not cut it for her. Oh I thought that I would
be in control, after one week she has won!

But it said that if the dog food has Citric Acid in it you DO NOT want to wet the food down that they have found links between wetting food containing citric acid and bloat. It also recommend that you feed deep chested dogs a meal of canned/wet food and a separate meal of dry food. So mine get canned in the AM and dry in the PM.

While I watched it the thought came to me, the two bassets are always in the living room while your other baby is out of the room. then he comes in and the bassets are gone. it appears your dogs are taking turns filming each other! i got a good chuckle out of thinking about the possibilities. They are just to cute!

My two-legged granddaughter was a hugely gassy baby despite being breast fed.? We gave the simethicone drops after every feeding and when she seemed gassy but couldn't seem to burp well.? It worked great - she either burped or tooted almost immediately, LOL.? We keep Gas X in the kitchen cabinet where it is handy should a problem occur.

The lady, whose name is Teri Ann Lapsey was great.? She talked to Bailey and said that my Mom visited him after she died and asked him to protect me.? And that Emma is happy here and that my Mom is here and that is why she isn't lonely.? She told me a few things she couldn't have known.? It was very interesting.? I just thought I would share that.?
