[Dailydrool] Febreze

Using Febreze to eradicate dog odor is great if you use it on
*things* only. Just don't use it on a dog. It's not designed to be a
dog deodorant.

My basset friend, the late Macy, was sprayed with Febreze and had
such a severe allergic reaction to it that she was on prednisone for
several months. It was a horrible experience for everyone, and the
person who sprayed her in fun (not her human, but one of her human's
friends) felt terrible about it when he saw how inflamed Macy's skin
was, how miserable her rash made her for weeks, and how the
prednisone caused her to have a prolonged unpleasant personality change.

If your sofa smells like dog, use Febreze on it. But if your dog
smells like dog, use only doggie shampoo on him.
