[Dailydrool] Jane update

As you may remember, yesterday we landed at the emergency vet's, since it became clear that Jane the live wire had swallowed something that looks like a wire.

In the afternoon, the vet called to say he wanted to take more tests. He was afraid Jane had an enlarged heart, and another specialist feared we might be dealing with pancreatitis.

OK, we said, do the tests. (Cha-ching, cha-ching is becoming our new theme song.) I waited tensely for the doc to call back, and of course he called when I had Bel out doing his potty thing. I got a brief message from a very relieved vet--all was OK. Jane evidently has a slightly leaky valve, not an enlarged heart. The abdomen was normal.

Of course by that time it meant that her endoscopy had to be put off for another day. So today I'm sitting here, knowing how much Jane hates visiting vets and how much more she'll hate it after today's procedure, and worrying about how it will all go.

Please continue the drool. And could you add a few prayers that the scoping works and we don't have to do surgery to get this thing out?
