I prefer Advantage for flea control, over Frontline, and I LOVE Capstar,
which knocks out the little buggers that are already on the dog within 30
minutes - it's a great option for immediate control to make the dog more
comfortable while Advantage kicks in.

Don't neglect environmental control - it won't do you any good to kill the
fleas on the dog if they are still in the house and yard. I like Fleabusters
or similar products for inside the house, and beneficial nematodes in the
yard for natural, non-toxic control.

And on baby talk....I know that it's extremely popular on the list, but if
you have questions about health, medications, behavior, using baby talk to
voice them means that in general, you will miss out on input from a number
of pretty knowledgeable people on the list. Not everyone is willing to wade
through it and read it.
