[Dailydrool] Calendar Day, Babe, June 17 and Update

Hi to everyone and thanks so much to all the Drool family who have supported
us.  If you remember, Bobby fell on April 29 and cracked his pelvis in three
places.  He was in the hospital for a week and then went into a nursing home
for rehab.  The night before he went into rehab, Brie had gastric problems
and needed emergency surgery.  Plus, May 6 was our 25th anniversary, which I
spent driving back and forth between Brie's hospital and Bobby's nursing
home.

The Drool family was so generous and loving in their response.  We have
received an amazing number of anniversary and get well cards.  I can't thank
you enough for the cards, and the flowers, the emails, the gifts, the
balloons,the outpouring of caring and affection from my family.  You are my
family, my friends, my support group.

Today's calendar day, June 17, dawns with Brie fully recovered and Bobby at
home sitting in his chair as usual.  He came home two weeks ago and has been
diligent at walking and exercising.  A physical therapist, nurse and
occupational therapist visit him periodically.  Besides weathering those two
hospitalizations, we've recovered from a very infected tooth that needed to
be removed from Molly's mouth (all three roots were rotted) and stitches to
Janey's ear, which got caught in Toby's teeth.  It's been an expensive two
months, medically. 

But we're recovered and sitting happily after breakfast.  Babe and Janey are
book-ending me on the couch.  Brie has curled into the smallest bed in the
room and made it hers.  Mell is resting peacefully in a recliner across from
Bobby.  Molly is curled on one of the beds behind the couch, and Toby is
resting his chin on the leather bolster surrounding his bed.  Only Corkie
the Yorkie is standing, but then he's not a hound.
