[Dailydrool] Mosquito bites

My poor Emmy is getting eaten alive by mosquitos.  They seem to love her
little head.  I am waiting on an order of Skin-so-Soft from Avon, but is
there anything else I can buy at a local store that will help.  Not to
sound like a dumb blonde, but you can't put deet on a dog, right?  We live
in West Central IL where the flood waters are not real close to us, but
the drainage ditches all have standing water in them from backing up and
the mosquitos are horrible.  I have tried spraying some backyard bug guard
before I let the girls out, but they still just attack Emmy.   She's just
too sweet to resist.  Any help would be appreciated, it's too hot to go
out during the day, so evening is their only outside playtime since our
backyard is half shaded after 5:00.
