[Dailydrool] growths on basset lips

When Rupert came we noticed he had a few small wart looking things on his
lips. He went to our vet (well ours wasnt in so we saw his partner) within a
few days of coming home and she said it was similar to the human herpes
virus (HPV). Eww! (She didnt test them or anything though) but she said they
could xfer to Cowboy and that they should go away on their own. She said the
only way they'd remove the warts was if they tore open during play or
started bleeding or something. Anyway we were kind of grossed out and didnt
really feel comfortable letting Ru lick our face, etc.

Within a few more days they looked like they had spread (to maybe 7 total)
and were a bit bigger. Now its been a month, we're down to 3 really tiny
ones that seem to be going away. I haven't found any on Cowboys mouth
either. We didnt do anything to them but they do seem to be disappearing on
their own. So honestly I don't know....I'm interested to see other droolers
response to these wart like growths.

The vet did seem concerned about where Rupert picked them up...he lived at a
doggy daycare for about 2 months before us and then was a stray before that
so really they couldve come from anywhere.
