What a tragedy.   Not only for the dogs, but also for the child with autism.  There was a woman in Canada about a year ago who had to get rid of one of her dogs and she also had an autistic child.  The dog got a new home, but it was incredibly difficult for the child.

I hate to say this, but one part of the post made me chuckle.  You said they might be moving overseas - I wonder if he's following the job he lost!
