[Dailydrool] walking dogs

I personally would continue walking my regular route. I would also take
treats along, to urge your dogs along past those houses that have
complained, so they are not stopped and snuffling for several moments in one
place. Never, ever allow your dogs to go onto their property.
The other thing I would do is to report to the local police any threatening
behavior that has been directed toward you and/or your dogs. Get a copy.
Either mail it to the person making the threats so that they know the police
have been notified or hang onto it until or if the person repeats the
behavior. This means you do not need a face-to-face confrontation, which are
very difficult for most people to deal with without losing composure.
Otherwise I would not communicate with those being ridiculously critical in
any way. I would completely ignore them at all times, not answering, not eye
contact, not anything. They do not exist.
I have waaaaay too much of a temper to want a personal confrontation with
anyone. I do not do well in those circumstances, so am wary of suggesting
them for others.

I have also had people saunter by the house with dogs. I do not appreciate
dogs up in my yard and I don't like it when people just stop and perhaps
look at my dogs, who are screaming maniacally at the windows, standing on
the back of the couch, bellowing, ahrooing, slinging drool everywhere, but I
would never consider saying anything. Kids tend to do it more than adults.
This is just what I think I would do. Or what I would do under optimal
conditions. In reality, I would probably be still standing back there on the
road, screaming nastily right back at 'em.
