Yesterday night was bad. I knew something was up when Hushy refused to
finish his supper. This has never happened in 5 years...so yeah I knew we
were in for something. A little background first, as they have been unable
to diagnose the origin of his Horners Syndrome Hushy has been on Clavamox to
rule out infection as a possible source.

Any arrrooo, about an hour after supper Hushy began to barf...I am thinking
he ate grass again...no biggee...I pick it up and instal his highness on his
pillow with some ginger snaps...he fails to eat or drink...one hour later
he barfs again...this time things are very liquid...and Hushy does not look
good.
No eating or drinking for anothe 2 hours...finally I get him to drink a
little water at midnight.
I give him Gas X, just in case, but I figure none of his regular bloat signs
are present so, pretty sure this is not the case,,,and anyway he has
actually thrown up so not bloat,,,I spend the rest of the night on the couch
wondering if this is the onset of something terrible related to the eye
issue.....I have a vivid imagination. By 3 AM my extremities are going numb
from sleeping on the couch and I am in full anxiety mode..not pretty. 5:30
I get dressed bring Hushy outside and compile a list of every possible
reason he is not eating or drinking. 4 hours later husband is at the vet
with Hushy at openning.....palpation, x-ray, temperature,,,,drum roll
please...Hushy has gas in his intestines..probably caused by the
Clavamox...169.00$ later Hushy is home with a new set of antigas meds. BY 5
tonight he was eating his doggie biscuits, and trying to score husbands ice
cream Blizzard from DQ. He is on a bland diet for the next week.
I am so tired.....please pray for my Hushy Puppy because we really have had
enough. It seems like he is trying to have every germ, condition,
contagion, allergen that a dog could have. I am exhausted. He is resting
comfortably on his pillow. All this just when I thought I could start
looking to add a second hound becuase we finally had all of Hushy's health
issues under control...yeah right.
I hope we are done for a little while here with the vets office. Thanks for
listening/reading.
