[Dailydrool] New Drool Subscriber Reaching Out !

Greetings Doolers !

I'm a fairly new subscriber and I love reading the Drool !

We are a family of Basset lovers in Edmonton Canada.  Little Lily is  
our second Basset, she's two, and we recently took in a foster, a  
lovely old Grand Dame named Bette ! So far we are loving having two  
hounds in the house, and even our geriatric cat "Uncle Arthur" is  
good with it. I noticed there is a collective wealth of knowledge  
amongst all of you "droolers"...could anyone advise me on Bette  
teeth.  She clearly has been neglected for years and her teeth are  
very yellow and we suspect she has longstanding gum disease ( she's  
somewhere between 6 and 8+ years old depending on who we consult ).   
Up here in Canada doggie dental care costs a fortune.  Bette is also  
mouth shy so I was looking for some sugestions to sooth her teeth and  
mouth besides the old standby "denta-bones" ( we give her a huge one  
daily). Any suggestions ?
