First, I would like to say how much my heart goes out to all of you
whose friends have got to the bridge lately. I can't read the drool
without my eyes tearing up, remembering my best friends over the years.
I actually stopped reading for a while because of the pain, but it
helps to know how true a bond so many people forge with their pets.
Please know that for every response in the DD, there are probably a
dozen or so of us who reading, feeling your pain, and praying for you
and your families.

Someone asked a few days ago about help 'wrangling' at a dog show.
Unfortunately, that was way out of my area, but it reminded me that I've
always wanted to attend a show, and learn. I have no clue about the
etiquette for attending a dog show as a spectator, though. I see that
the Valley Forge Basset Hound Club is having a show the day after
Thanksgiving. Is it OK to attend and watch a smaller show if you are
not entered? Should I write in advance to get permission to come? I
assume it would be out of place to bring my furbaby girl with me.

finally, I'm impressed with the complex thoughts that all the bassets
writing can express. I think my poor Ginger only has a few recurring
thoughts:

Daddydaddydaddydaddydaddydaddydaddydaddydaddydaddy!

Slllleeeeeeeepppppp......

Peace,

Al Folsom
