Hi everyone, Has anyone had any luck with using Ketoconazole for their kids
for allergies? I talked to a lady friend, that has her 2 bassets on it, for
yeast on their skin, and causes itching. I inquired about it with my vet,
and he said we could give it a try, Honey and Dottie itch like crazy.
The dose for their weight was one pill in the morning and one at night, with
food.
However, their tummies didn't tolerate that much, so now they get 1 1/2 in
the morning with food, and it has worked much better. None at night.
It has helped some of the itching, but not entirely.
They can only be on it for 30 days, it is kind of a strong drug I
understand. They have both been on it for 16 days now. My lady friend said it helped
her girls in the first week, and they don't itch at all now.
So......................now I was just wondering if anyone else has had any
experience with this, and if it has helped??????? We were doing benadryl for
a long time, but that made them so tired, and after awhile, I think it lost
some of it's effectiveness........
thanks so much.............scratchie itchie Honey and Dottie and Mommy Barbie
