Bill here, press agent/personal trainer to Miss Angela Basset, Droop and Drool Diva of Wichita and Sedgwick County

Our copy of Da Brudder Elwood's book came in the mail yesterday. Miss Angela rewarded Tony the letter carrier by loudly reminding him that she expected treats.
As I expected, Miss Angela was highly critical of the book, at least at first. She is a great stickler for correct language and pronunciation. (While a huge consumer of movies, she refuses to watch Sylvester Stallone movies). Thus,it should come as no surprise that she continues to be appalled by "da Brudder"'s mangling of syntax, pronunciation and grammar. However, as I continued to read the book to her, she began to be intensely aware of the basic nobility and grace under fire of Elder Clara, whom she sees as something akin to a martyr. As this theme began to emerge, Miss Angela became much more sympathetic. She got this way watching Dean Martin-Jerry Lewis movies, too, as Jerry's antics bore heavily on Dean's good nature.

As we neared the end of the book, Miss Angela's opinion was changing, but that change was hastened dramatically when we got to page 42, where, near the bottom of the page, we saw a note from Colleen which expressed her fondness for the antics of da brudder, Nigel and Llewis, AND MISS ANGELA BASSET! Now Miss Angela recommends the book to anyone who might listen. Not nearly so vociferously as she recommends You Had Me at Ahroo
(which is filled with her activities and teaching) but still warmly.

Bill (amazed at the depth of Miss Angela's egocentricity)
Angela (any publicity is good publicity when you have a lame press agent like mine)

PS Hello Bob, hope you're feeling better.
