[Dailydrool] Brudder Elwood to da Vet

Saturday-I wake up-consider a bit of shopping, time with no thought needed.  
I roll out, down the stairs-
Elder Clara has peed on the carpet.
Sister Daisy barfed in the hall.
Brudder Bob--he hasn't taken his morning dump yet--no  report-    
Brudder Jake--hungry. All is well there.
Brudder Elwood-now hopping, the look of pitiful me on his face. RATS. Here  
we go.
Soooo off to the vet, on a Saturday morning, no appt, my vision of shopping  
gone. 
I relate the instructions of if we need xrays, he will have to be sedated  to 
touch the feet. They smile politely. 
Brudder Elwood limps in.
Temperature??? They go for the tail-okay that didn't happen. Brudder Elwood  
is not in a gracious mood.
So during it all, he did pretty good--he has hurt his shoulder, but of  
course the fatal words come-Keep him quiet. RIGHT. Not so much.
So we go home, greeted by sniffs, barks, general mayhem.
Now it got interesting.
Brudder Elwood plopped on the rug in front of the pantry. He was  pooped.
Elder Clara went over and laid down in front of him and dared any of the  
rest to bother him. She stayed there and watched over him until he woke up.  
Wonders never cease!!
No drool needed, keep it for the ones that  really need it--da  Brudder will 
be fine-in fact he has given me instructions I better git  his pawtee storie 
out there.
