I understand exactly how you are feeling.  Our beloved Bodie succumbed to CHF 2 years ago.  He was holding his own against the disease, frankly doing well.  One evening he went outside to potty and died in the backyard.  I found him right after he died...he looked like he had just lay down to take a nap.  My only comfort is that I know he didn't suffer.  Sis and I buried him in the backyard and we now have a beautiful bird feeding station there and in the summer, we have spectacular sunflowers growing around it.  I'm SO sorry for your loss.

There is much sadness in my heart.  My sweet girl, Samantha is gone.  She
had CHF and did Ok for 1 year and 9 months.  But this week her beautiful
heart just couldn't keep going.  She was my first basset.  She was the
sweetest girl and my loving friend.  I pray she and Ben are together and
will wait until we are together again.  Samantha Sweet, mommy misses you, I
love you little girl.
