[Dailydrool] Sleeping dog.

My 12 year old Charlie is like that, and I just leave him be  sleeping.  If I 
have to wake him, I do it w/o touching him to minimize any  nipping.  The 
other thing I do is yell out treat, and give him one when he  responds.  I know 
it may not be  the best solution, but it works for  us.  Hope this helps out.  
They do not say let sleeping dogs lie for  nothing.
