[Dailydrool] Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

We are fortunate enough that none of our dogs startle when they wake from sleeping. We have the exact opposite problem, especially with Franny. At night, when it's time to go to bed, she will not wake up. We have tried to drag her off the couch only to have her just slide off the couch and onto the floor, where she resumed sleeping. She has even turned around at the stairs to get back on her preferred piece of furniture for the evening. Only one thing overrides her will to sleep and that is her will to eat. You've never seen a gimpy, half-sleeping basset move faster than to get a treat for going upstairs to bed.
