A big "thank you" goes to Susan of Basset Rescue of Central California.? Chewie was one of our bassets (18 months old) that came to us with sight in one eye and was recently diagnosed with Addison's disease.? At the age of? 9 months, Chewie was attacked by a Rotweiller and had to have his jaw reconstructed at a cost of between $8,000 and $10,000.?? Basset Rescue took Chewie in knowing of this disease, knowing that had sight in one of his eyes, and that he would need medication for the rest of his life.? 

With patience and dedication, Susan found a home for Chewie in a very short time.? "Thank you" to Bill and Lisa for becoming Chewie's new foster parents and with a possibility of becoming his forever home.? 

Chewie will need medication for the duration of his life and Basset Rescue of Central California would like for you to take a look at our website and see all of the wonderful success stories that we have on our basset hounds.? Also, if you could find it in your heart to donate an amount (no set dollar amount) in Chewey's name to help defer the cost of his medication.? Basset Rescue would truly appreciate your kindness and dedication to our rescue. 

Thank you, too, to all you droolers.? I love reading all of the stories that are put on the daily drool.?? Some make me laugh, and others make me cry.
