[Dailydrool] kisses where?

As a rule, I smooch my bassets on the lips. Just wrap my hand around the
muzzle and give 'em a big ol' smooch rite on the soft lips under the nose.
Except in the show ring. I usually don't smooch the lips in the show ring.
I generally give the basset a little smooch just before getting him off the
ramp and it's usually on the side of the muzzle. Before I got tired of my
makeup ending up on my boobs (sorry. But I sweat a lot and that's where it
ended up) and stopped wearing any, more than once I left a lipstick smudge
on my basset in the ring. One (of many) advantages of not wearing makeup is
lot leaving lipstick on your basset in the ring.

An update on our poor Sister the Otterhound that broke her poor little toe.
She has this club-like bandage that goes almost all the way up to her elbow.
She learned real quick how to get sympathy. The spouse ran down just for
the day to the otterhound Nationals on Friday to show our Elder Scarlett in
the dinosaur (age 11+) class (she was beaten by a young whippersnapper 3
years her junior) - and he took Sister along for the ride. She went up to
everyone and held up her foot to show them her owie and of course everyone
oooohed and "poor Sister"ed, except she sometimes showed them the wrong
foot. She goes in tomorrow to have her bandage changed and we'll get an
update.
