[Dailydrool] Kisses

There I was thinking I was the only one who likes to kiss my dogs on  
the tops of their paws, and then I read that's where Norton B gets  
his kisses, too.

Kissing is one-sided in this family, though. I give them out, but I  
don't care for dog kisses in return. Not at all. I don't care for  
anything wet, especially on my face. Fortunately, our Elsinore and  
young Charlie aren't kissers or lickers.

The last time Elsinore was at her job at the hospice, she was  
surprised by a wet kiss full on the lips by a toddler. Elsinore  
handled it a lot more graciously than I would have, not moving a  
muscle and merely looking rather bemused by the extreme liberty a  
troll-like creature had just taken. The toddler, however, immediately  
backed off, wiped her mouth, said, "Yuck!" several times, and  
wouldn't go near Elsinore again. Guess that'll teach her to just walk  
up and kiss a dog, especially one she doesn't know.
