[Dailydrool] Biopsy Results

First, I want to thank everyone for the wonderful notes and caring thoguhts. I want to answer you all personally, and have saved the messages, just haven't been able to yet. Amazing how the smallest Basset can leave the biggest hole in your heart. Lining up all the food bowls, minus one, is like the "missing man" formation in the fly by at military funerals - twice a day, every day.

The biopsy results came back today. It was consistent with histiocytic sarcoma, possibly atypical lymphosarcoma. So, it is a small comfort that letting her go was the right thing - this was not something reversible that we could fix.

My poor girl had cancer, and her time with me was short. I'm blessed that I got to know her. How lucky I am that she came to live with me, showered me with hugs and kisses, and taught me the proper way to treat a diva. Now I have to keep the boys in line myself, but I know she is giving us a hand from the bridge. 

We are no sending tons of drool on to the others who need it to heal hearts and hounds where possible.
