[Dailydrool] Thanks For the Warm Words About Seeger, And Here's News About A New Addition

Many thanks to all who took the time to send kind words on our loss of Seeger. Seeger valued human affection above everything else (even food), and I'm sure the warmth of your words adds to his happiness on the far side of the bridge.

The 5 of us (Patty, our daughter Krissy, her husband Shoua, their daughter Amy, and I) all agreed that we  needed to  give another rescue basset a chance. We all had more love to give. Beyond that, Seeger's brother Jester (a 2.5 year old border terrier) had a broken heart to mend and plenty of energy to share with a new brother.

Thanks to Nancy Timmons and other volunteers working with Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California, we have a new family member. Bullet (renamed for one of Seeger's nicknames) is an eight-year old male basset. He's obviously had a rough life, and we have slowly begun to work through a big pile of trust and passive/aggressive issues. That being said, we can all see that he desperately wants to be loved, and give love. We're sure we have all the understanding, love, and patience he'll need to get there.

Thanks, LOTS, to Nancy, Mike  Manahan,  the foster family that loved Bullet for us until we found him (I'm sorry to say I've forgotten the name), and everyone else at BHRSC who helped make this happen.
