[Dailydrool] Seizures

I've got to chime in here ~ I have had 4 dogs total.. Only one wasn't a
basset Hound, he was a chow and husky mix. ALL of my dogs have had
seizure disorders, including the Chow. We did have Bailey, but only for
10 months before he developed cancer and went to the bridge ( he didn't
have nay seizures while we had him).

My husband and I are besides ourselves as to why this happens. Rocky
just had a seizure last night and now, on occasion, so does Clyde.
Clyde we have had with us as a rescue for 18 months or so. Both Rocky
and Clyde are bassets.

Treating Max ( our chow, and only dog at the time) with Phenobarbital
proved pointless, he had them anyways and once you start that
medication, you have to keep it up regardless. Max eventual succumbed
to kidney failure, BUT he did live a very happy life until he was 13
years old. We have chosen not to medicate Rocky and Clyde, we know of
too many dogs that have been put on medication and it has done
absolutely no good.

I hate seeing my babies have seizures. We can't find anything
environmental, that would be causing them, though.
