Hugo gotted my udder wun.  Den dere wuz wun mor an' mama wuz cawlin' an'
cawlin' "VEEEEEEEEEEEEEETOOOOE!!  VEEEETTTTOOOOOO - Kukies!  HEEER VEETO!!
No Vito.  No jingul ob da tags.  No sownd at awl.  Mama check da howse - no
Vito.  Mama check awl da gates an' day be shut.
Hmmm....VEEEEEETOOOOOOOE!!!  WARE AR YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO???  She wooked in da
yard abowt a gazillyun times an' no Vito.  Now I see mama gettin' sorta
bassety- wrinkuls on her hed, wips hangin' down, sorta gud ackchully - wat
Hugo?  Oh, weww, den maybe not so gud.  So she cawls agan an' sez "COM
GETCHER KUKIE VEETOE" or sumfin wike dat.  Suddenly we heers da tags makin'
dat jingwy sownd.  An' den mama seez waaaaaaaaaaay up da hiww in da wuds da
widdwe bugger's eers a'flyin' an him runnin' down fru da gote hill on hims
cruked widdwe wegs.  Hims not make a sownd, jus' com to mama.  Den she seez
da gotes runnin' down da hill!  Ooops!  Sumbuddy weft da gate to da gote pen
open an' Vito went splorrin' waaay up dat hill an' he wuz teezin' doze
gotes!!  He musta run down dat wast acre at a hunnerd miles a howr!!  But
dat wuzn't az fast az mama runnin' 'cross da yard an' closin' dat gote gate
afore da goties got owt an' butted us!  Don't no why day wanna do dat - I
onwy bark at dem sumtimes.  Oh weww.  He camed in da doggy dore an' wite
into da cwate ware mama gabed him hiz kukie - den wocked it.  Sed it wud not
hurt da widdwe dickens to take a nap.  Now mama iz awl red an' funny wookin'
frum runnin' an' frum sunburn an' her hare iz awl flyin' ober da place.  Gud
fing yu cudn't see her.  I am gonna see if I kin gets an udder kukie.
