As some of you might remember, I wrote to you when we lost our beautiful Oskar, and we were overwelmed by the kindness so many of you showed us. I would therefore like to share some good news:

This house is not proper without a basset hound! We therefore went to see Lulubelle's kennel not far from capitol Oslo. Mostly because we wantet to se happy basset hounds again, but also with a hope of being accepted as a qualiefied home for a basset puppy. It was a lovely place! Far out on the countryside, and a house full of bassets, bloodhounds, grand danois and pugs (!).

And here we were introduced to Beowolf! A shy little fellow, 6 months old, never ment to be an alpha dog and he completely melted our hearts. So, now our son is a big brother (he was always little brother to Oskar... though we usually only refered to him as the "puppy"), and mum and dad have to learn that what Oskar did, isn't standard basset behaviour. It's a bit funny, actually, they look the same but have are so different as individuals.

We have kept his "Beowolf" name as the official name, but call him Gustav (which was son of king Oskar the second of Sweden).

Kjersti
