[Dailydrool] A waddle story

I was talking to a staff member at work that I hired last year in July. I
was telling her a few days ago about the upcoming basset hound waddle for
ABC Basset hound Rescue for the OzStravaganza (sp?) in June. She says that
is where I met you. I told her I didn't recall that. Now, keep in mind she
is not a basset slave. She said, well I met your dog and your kids were
holding a banner. I had 3 dogs there. One the director was walking out in
front, my kids were 2 of the kids holding the banner, my husband was walking
Maggie the basset, and I was walking Oliver the doxie. I asked her how she
knows it was my dog. She said well, it came over to me and sat down beside
the road and refused to go anywhere and you told me yours does that. I
started laughing and telling her---honey, that could have been any one of
the bassets in the parade. She said well, the kids loved it. Maggie did go
over to the sidewalk in last years waddle and push her way onto the sidewalk
and park herself into a space between a family like saying I give up I will
just be theirs' and you keep walking. I just thought it was funny that she
assumed it was my basset out of hundreds of bassets there. Maybe it is just
basset person comical. I am on call this year for the waddle and the dad
slave has guard weekend. So depressing.
