[Dailydrool] submersion of face in water

My bloodhound will stick his entire face, not in his water bowl because it is too shallow, but in our swimming pool! He seems to do this most often after returning from a walk when he is hot. We are in S. FL, so it is hot most of the time. He puts his front paws in and his face up to his eyes and gets a drink. But I also think he is cooling himself down and washing off droolers! Plus an extra ear tip dip doesn't hurt either. Then after stepping out of the pool, he proceeds to shake his head from side to side, flinging any remaining water and droolers within an 10 foot radius. I have learned to live with it. But, I actually think he is trying to cool down from the walk because he drinks out of his water bowl any other time.
