[Dailydrool] Storms and help

We had a fast moving thunderstorm come through this afternoon. Poor Maggie just doesn't have any coping mechanisms. I was trying to finish dinner and she decided to help. I was at the stove and so was she. She was on her hind legs with her front paws on the oven handle like she knew what she was doing. The oven was on too and I was afraid she would burn her belly. She just wanted to get as close to me as possible. Then she was the moving speedbump. Where ever I moved she was a bump. It is gone now and things are calm. She also won't go out in the rain even though she really needs to. Shelby goes out, puts her paws on the yard, leaves her butt on the concrete and takes care of business. She is such a hoot.

Marley has been seen kissing cat. Coming from such a grouch, that is quite something. I think the cats are growing. Not fat wise, just bigger. Might be my imagination. Picasso seems to be taller than when he came. DaVinci looks like someone took his stuffing out, so to speak. Ninja would like to take his stuffing out if she could. But she tolerates them.

Shelby finally got her nails trimmed last night. We have tried multiple times and have never gotten them all. It took the Dad, the Mom and Nic but they are done for a bit. She really fights the nail thing and we are afraid of hurting her back. She was also biting at whoever and that is just not her. Afterward she went and sat by the treatbag on the table and demanded we give her some. She can be very much the queen when she is in the mood.

Maggie is screeching to come in so I need to let her before the neighbor dragon hears and complains. I should rename her Screech because that's what she does. Such a great big girl and such a high pitch screech. Maybe it is all the naughty spots.

Two of my sons and I teach a three year old Sunday School class and we have just gotten new kids. It is always traumatic and then when the next door teacher don't show it just adds to the mix. Anyway, I had a picture of the girls in my purse and was trying to distract the criers from crying. It worked. Bassets really are soothing, even in picture form. They are so much fun.

Snooters and drool to all.

NInja, Marley, Maggie, Shelby and the fighting kitty comandoes
